Do you know how to present yourself appropriately in workplace? Do you know the power of selling yourself with all the potential you have can bring you up? Leadway Consultancy (M) Sdn Bhd organized a training to polish the hidden capabilities in the trainees’ selves on 9th January 2020 and 20th January 2020 in Tower Regency Hotel and Apartment, Ipoh. It was delivered by a certified trainer and an expert in grooming from Kuala Lumpur (KL), Ms. Aishah Jaclyn Thorn. The trainees were staff from Tower Regency Hotel and Apartment that consisted of various departments including Sales and Marketing, Food and Beverages as well as the Front Desk teams. They were the crucial teams in hotel that usually deal with customers and clients, so it is very important for them to build a great first impression.
The trainees were distributed into several groups in order to inculcate the teamwork along with for them to make new friends as they came from different departments. The training emphasized on the appropriate dress code for the hoteliers according to their jobs, the importance of body languages while dealing with customers, tips to have a great first impression, and the right way to look presentable in workplace. It consisted of many interesting activities including the role play to elevate the trainees’ confidence as well as a makeup session for the female staff in the afternoon.
The key takeaway obtained by them was valuable. They gained the clear insight on how the physical appearances and body languages can leave a good impression to people especially the customers and prospects. Apart from that, it assisted the trainees to have good awareness about how good impression can affect their reputation in their career journey. The training ended at 5.30 pm and the trainees dismissed from the hall with new spirit, knowledge, and determination.
