On 27 July 2024, MST Facilities Sdn Bhd held a team-building event at Sentosa Villa Taiping, Perak, hosted by Leadway Consultancy (M) Sdn Bhd. The day began with an opening speech and a safety briefing, setting a positive and secure tone for the activities ahead. The morning featured ice-breaking and group forming activities to help participants get to know each other better. The participants were assigned into 4 groups and one group has 4 to 5 of them. The participants were asked to draw a team poster with their group names by using crayon. They unleashed their creativity and made their team poster perfect. Followed by the Marshmallow Challenge, they need to build a structure using spaghetti, tape, string, and a marshmallow, fostering teamwork and creativity.
Next, we moved on to the outdoor session of this team-building. The outdoor segment included tele-matches games, combining physical challenges and mental puzzles, which reinforced the importance of teamwork and strategic thinking. Through friendly competition and shared laughter, participants strengthened their bonds and built trust, laying the base for a day filled with collaboration and mutual support. Overall, the previous sessions provided a dynamic platform for teams to connect, learn, and grow together, setting the stage for a rewarding and memorable team-building experience at Sentosa Villa Resort.
As the day progressed, excitement reached its peak with the Treasure Hunt. Teams went on an exciting quest, figuring out clues, moving through the resort’s beautiful scenery, and solving mysteries to find the right answer. This adventure not only encouraged teamwork and problem-solving but also provided an opportunity for participants to explore their surroundings, fostering a sense of curiosity and discovery.
The event concluded with a debriefing session and an award ceremony recognizing outstanding performances. The winning team was rewarded with a hamper, symbolizing their success and camaraderie. However, every participant emerged a winner, having strengthened bonds, and gained invaluable insights into the power of teamwork and collaboration from this team building program.
The participants able to improve communication, enhance collaboration, build trust, boost morale, and develop problem-solving skills through this team building. Additionally, they can build stronger personal connections and identify individual and team strengths and weaknesses. The event was a resounding success, leaving participants energized and more connected, better prepared to tackle future challenges together.
