Interesting Place in Kinta District
- Kellie’s castle, Batu Gajah
This renowned building is over 100 years old. It was built in 1905 by William Kellie Smith for his wife, Agnes. This only half-completed building is now a fascinating tourist attraction in Perak for its impressive architectural structure.
2. Gunung Lang’s Recreational Park, Ipoh One of Ipoh’s best places to visit. The impact of this ancient mining history has been developed and equipped with various facilities for visitors. Among the attractions here are the large lakes, the remote tower, the jetty and the tallest waterfall in Malaysia

- Sultan Azlan Shah’s Gallery
The gallery is located in Bukit Chandan, Kuala Kangsar. It keeps the set and the life stories and travels of Sultan Azlan Muhibbudin Shah to be seen and followed by the people.
2. Victoria bridge
The Karai Bridge or better known as Victoria Bridge in Seberang Karai, is built across the Perak River which connects Kuala Kangsar Town. The bridge was built in 1897 and was officially opened by the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Idris Murshidul Azam Shah on 21 March 1900.
This bridge has not been used since 2002 as concrete bridges have been built to replace the role of the Victoria Bridge and become a tourist attraction. However, the residents still use this bridge to cross the Perak River using motorcycles and on foot.

- Zoo Taiping and Night Safari
One of the major tourist attraction in Perak. Zoo Taiping is the first zoo built in Malaysia. It has various exotic animal species from within and outside the country. It is located near Taiping Lake Park. Zoo Taiping also offers Night Safari where visitors can visit and see nightlife activities.

Located at Gunung Semanggol, Taiping. Another major tourist attraction in the state of Perak, Bukit Merah lake Town Resort is a variety of exciting activities for the whole family. - Pusat Ternakan Tuntung, Bota kanan
‘Pusat Ternakan Tuntung’ is located in Kampung Bota Kanan in the Perak Tengah district, 50km southwest of Bandar Ipoh, Perak. It was created to address the problem of extinction of Northern river terrapin in addition to acting to conserve this animal ecosystem. You can pay a visit and learn more about this species
2. Pasir Salak Historical Complex
A memorial complex to recall the struggles of Malay heroes such as Datuk Sagor and Datuk Maharajalela against the colonialists. Visitors can visit Kubu Datuk Maharajalela, Meriam Lela Rentaka, Tombs of Siputum, J.W.W Birch grave and so on in this complex.
Interesting place in Batang Padang district
- Orang Asli Villages
Orang Asli villages around Lata Iskandar and Kuala Woh waterfall areas. Visitors can see the way people live here are still practicing traditional way of life and seeking livelihoods with forest products. What is interesting is craftsmanship, wood carvings, fruits and other forest products can be bought to take home.
2. Felda Residence Hotspring, Felda Sungai Klah
This hot spring recreation area is the main tourist attraction of Sungkai. It is well-developed and well-maintained that makes it attractive enough for visitors to relax. The basic amenities available include rest chairs, prayer room , toilets and dressing rooms. Free public hot tubs are available but for visitors looking for privacy, you can rent a private jacuzzi with a starting price of RM75 per hour. - Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan
One of Perak’s unique attractions. The 25.5-meter high tower, 8 floors and slightly skewed is located in Teluk Intan. Its design is like a pagoda. Visitors can enter this tower and see the neat and tidy interior of the tower. It was built by Leong Choon Chong.
Interesting place in Hulu Perak , District
- Hutan Belum, Gerik
It is a prime location for eco-tourism in the Hulu Perak district. Belum Forest is a tropical rainforest natural reserve. It is rich in various herbs, rare plants such as meranti, cengal and keruing and various other plant species. In the forest there is also Rafflesia flower, the largest flower in the world
- Lenggong Archaeological Gallery Kota Tampan
Also known as Lenggong Valley Archeology Gallery. Keep past treasures as human skeletons over 10,000 years old (silver man) found in the state of Perak.

- Kuala Gula Bird Sanctuary
A protected park of various species of birds that migrate and make a nest here. About September to April each year, approximately 200 thousand birds from 50 species visited in Kuala Gula Bird Sanctuary include exotic species and threatened with extinction.
