WHAT IS PENJANA HRDF?

PENJANA HRDF is a new HRDF economic recovery initiative that provides Training Incentive Programme highlights on how generating job opportunities and training play an important part in Malaysia’s struggle to get back on its feet in the wake of the COVID-19 peak on unemployment and employability issues especially in developing cities like Ipoh, Perak and Kuala Lumpur.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF PENJANA HRDF?

PENJANA HRDF was introduced to accommodate the need of companies, businesses, as well as individuals to help them generate income that likely experienced significant disruption during the COVID-19 crisis especially those who lives in cities like Ipoh, Perak and Kuala Lumpur that requires considerable expenses to accommodate their daily lives.

THE MAIN FOCUS OF PENJANA HRDF

This initiative mainly focuses to resolve employability issues and enhance self-employment, reskill and upskill employers and employees’ workforce and the ability to deliver new business models relevant to a post-MCO environment. HRDF also aims to maintain Malaysia’s Human Capital Development so as to remain competitive and productive post-MCO.

5 OBJECTIVES OF THE PENJANA HRDF

  1. Place & Train Programme

An initiative to source and provide jobs for Malaysians by participating in relevant value-added training courses provided by selected industries, especially for graduates, school leavers and retrenched workers. By completing the training session, the applicants will be able to secure job placement in any industry especially in large cities like Ipoh, Perak and Kuala Lumpur.

  1. Upskilling & Reskilling Programme

This program will provide a platform for upskilling in specific courses related to fast-growing industries through high value-added training. The schemes under this initiative not only help Malaysians to enhance their career development, but also boost their competitiveness and business growth.

  1. SME Development Programme

An endeavor to support SMEs through strategic and operational training courses to improve their profitability and cost-effectiveness so that they remain competitive and sustainable in the sector. The training courses will be identified through strategic cooperation with relevant stakeholders that will address post-MCO critical needs.

  1. B40 Development Programme

This program aims to assist the general community and workers especially in large cities like Ipoh, Perak and Kuala Lumpur within B40 households with specific skills and knowledge through up-skill training, gaining skills in entrepreneurship, and increasing income in various industries such as food production, home business, and E-commerce.

  1. Gerak Insan Gemilang (GIG) Programme

This program is an initiative aimed at assisting Malaysians that lives in Ipoh, Perak and Kuala Lumpur with specific skills and knowledge through training to up-skill themselves that will enable them to increase their income by becoming freelancers from various ways.
