On 10 April 2025, Leadway Consultancy (M) Sdn. Bhd. successfully conducted the Safety Induction for Construction Workers (SICW) Programme in Ipoh, Perak, specifically for foreign workers under the CLAB Programme.
This dynamic training event was designed to strengthen safety practices and cultivate a culture of vigilance and preparedness on construction sites among participants. A total of 22 participants attended, creating an energetic and interactive learning environment throughout the program.

As the program progressed, participants explored construction site planning and layout. They learned how to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective control measures before any work begins. The SICW Program also provided a deeper understanding of high-risk construction activities, including the regulations and control measures required to manage them safely. This ensured that participants were well-prepared to handle dangerous tasks with confidence and caution.
The session continued with an overview of the working environment and health hazards, where participants examined the effects of chemical exposure, electrical work, noise, heat stress, and other risks on human health. They were equipped with essential strategies to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for themselves and their colleagues.
Participants were also briefed on welfare facilities and site security, providing them with a clear understanding of the required amenities and safety measures needed for a compliant and well-managed construction site.
As the SICW Program concluded, a renewed culture of safety and health awareness emerged. Participants left more empowered, informed, and prepared to contribute to safer, more secure construction environments within their workplaces.
