Our Principal Construction Work Designer (PCWD) attended the Occupational Safety and Health Committee in Management (OSHCIM) meeting at the Kampar Site, as part of Leadway Consultancy’s ongoing commitment to construction safety governance and regulatory compliance.
The meeting served as a platform to review current site conditions, discuss safety and health performance, and coordinate actions among key duty holders to ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA 1994) and the Occupational Safety and Health (Construction Work) Regulations 2024 (CWDM 2024).
During the session, emphasis was placed on the implementation of design risk management, effective Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC), and the integration of safety-by-design principles throughout construction activities. Discussions also focused on strengthening communication, improving risk mitigation measures, and aligning site practices with DOSH guidelines, CIDB requirements, and relevant statutory obligations.
